ICAO Standardized Training Package: Breathing Apparatus Command and Control Operations  

You will gain the knowledge and skills to safely lead a rescue team during emergencies and ensure that self-contained breathing apparatus are used effectively in search and rescue, as well as command and control operations.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Respond to emergencies confidently
  • Monitor status of rescue teams using the breathing apparatus entry control board
  • Apply strategies and tactics for breathing apparatus search and rescue operations
  • Oversee post emergency procedures

Who Should Attend

This course is recommended if you are responsible for managing fire-fighting officers from civil aviation administrations, civil defence organisations, municipal fire brigades, oil refining, petrochemical, or manufacturing industries.

Prerequisties 

  • Be physically fit
  • Have completed basic fire-fighting training or equivalent
  • Have at least one year of relevant experience in aircraft/building (including petrochemical, structures) rescue and fire-fighting operations
  • Be in a supervisory position responsible for executing command and control procedures
