Building a Sustainable Air Hub

CAAS is committed to addressing the pressing issue of climate change and its impact on air travel. Climate change poses a significant threat to the aviation industry, directly affecting airport infrastructure, aircraft performance, and causing operational delays and disruptions. Hence, even as we grow Changi Airport to build its air hub status and tap the strong demand for air travel in the Asia Pacific region, we must also place our air hub growth on a more sustainable and responsible path.

Singapore therefore takes a balanced approach to the long term, sustainable growth of Singapore’s aviation sector, taking into consideration the need for environmental sustainability while ensuring that the Singapore air hub remains competitive. CAAS collaborates closely with our aviation stakeholders to drive the decarbonisation of the aviation sector.
