ICAO PANS-OPS Instrument Procedures Design: Criteria for RNAV, GNSS and RNP

You will gain the competency to apply the specifications contained in ICAO Doc 8168 (Procedures for Air Navigation Services) and understand the criteria governing the design of Area Navigation (RNAV)/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)/ Required Navigation Performance (RNP) instrument procedures. This course is module 2 of ICAO PAN-OPS course.

Who Should Attend

This course is recommended if you require in-depth knowledge of the principles and applications of instrument procedures design standards and criteria in air navigation. 

Prerequisites

  • Have achieved a level of Mathematics competency equivalent to ‘high school’ standard
  • You must enclose documentary evidence together with your application form to show that you satisfy 1 of the following criteria:
  • Be a qualified pilot
  • Have an engineering background
  • Have experience in a field providing knowledge of aircraft instrument operations
