Bachelor of Aviation Management by Distance Learning (Jointly organised with Massey University, New Zealand)
You will gain an understanding of human factors in aviation, airline strategic management and airport operational management. This programme is a dedicated aviation qualification which will introduce you to various aspects of the aviation industry.
Programme Structure
3 years full-time (part-time available), offered internally in Palmerston North and via distance learning.
The Bachelor of Aviation Management degree requires a total of 360 credits. You need to combine courses (credits) to meet the total number of credits needed.
- Compulsory courses - 150 credits
- Courses from Schedule B - 120 credits
- Electives - 90 credits
Ensure that overall, you have:
- No more than 135 credits at 100 level (including no more then 75 credits of 100‑level electives)
- At least 75 credits at 300 level overall (including at least 15 credits of 300‑level electives, if required)

Time limits on completion
Students have 8 years from commencement to complete the Bachelor of Aviation Management degree.
Fees
Students enrolling through the SAA – Massey University partnership are entitled to a special tuition fee rate.
- Course fees (Undergraduate) 2025: NZD$1,697.00 per 15-credit course
- Withdrawal from your programme of study after a certain time period has elapsed (i.e., after 17 per cent of the study period (between the course start and end date has passed for the courses for 2025 study) will attract a withdrawal fee. Refer the website for more information.
Application
To apply for the programme, we require the following documents to be submitted to Mr Kwok Fang Jie (kwok_fang_jie@caas.gov.sg) for processing:
- Completed Application Form
- Completed Agent Authorisation Form
- Passport (biodata page)
- Certificates and transcripts (results) of your academic qualifications in English (e.g., polytechnic diploma)
- English proficiency, example, GCE 'O' levels, TOEFL, ELTS
- Certificates of your professional qualifications, if any, such as air transport pilot license (ATPL), air traffic controller (ATC) ratings.
- All the documents have to be certified as true copies. Please refer to the “Verification of Documents” guide for more information. Applicants in Singapore will be asked to make an appointment to have their documents verified by the Singapore Aviation Academy upon application.
