Discover, Experience and Play at Singapore Aviation Open House

4 March 2024

From 7 to 9 March 2024, public of all ages can get a glimpse into the exciting world of air traffic controller and airport firefighters training at a three-day open house at the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA). Set up in 1958, SAA, the training arm of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), is a world-renowned civil aviation training academy, training over 157,000 aviation professionals from about 200 countries. SAA distinguished alumni include currently serving Directors-General of Civil Aviation from 16 countries. SAA will be shutting its current premises in April 2024 to undergo a S$120 million in-situ spatial transformation. The new SAA will reopen in two years’ time with 20% more training capacity and new learning and public spaces which will further enhance SAA’s leadership position in civil aviation training and add to the buzz of the Changi Village precinct where SAA is. During the period of its spatial transformation, SAA will continue to offer its training programmes at hotels and other conference venues in Singapore as well as overseas.
